Trailing of the Sheep Festival celebrates the Basque sheep herding culture in Idaho. With thousands of visitors enjoying events from sheep dog trials, Folk Life Fair and ethnic food tastings, artists will have lots of opportunities for colorful plein air painting. Trailing of the Sheep has been named in the Top Ten Fall Festivals in the World.
PAPI ACTIVITIES – DETAILS FRIDAY OCT 11: 10:30 am PAINT THE SHEEP- locations to be determined as the flocks are moving around 3:00-4 pm TENT SET-UP @Folk Life Fair in Hailey 4:30 pm Lamb bites dinners in Ketchum ($20 tickets required) or eat out on your own. SATURDAY OCT 12: 9 am SET UP OF ARTWORK Folk Life Fair 10 AM FAIR OPENS 11:30- 2:30 QUICK DRAW & VOTE (if we have enough participants) 4 PM FAIR CLOSES Break Down art and tent 6 PM PAPI DINNER GATHERING at Karen Jacobsen’s 2950 Butterfly Dr. Hailey ID 83333 ( map to my house will be at our fair tent) I will be BBQ-ing Lamb (surprise!) and will serve Veggies and Salad.
